Description:

Injection molding is the most widely used manufacturing process for the production of plastic parts, This overview of the design process for injection molded plastic parts provides an integrated approach to part design and material selection that will assist the designer in the development of parts that are functional, reliable, manufacturable, and aesthetically pleasing. In its new edition, the book not only covers concurrent engineering and design for manufacturability but also addresses issues such as design for enhanced recyclability and the opportunities--and limitations--of implementing recycled material streams into the manufacturing process.

The new and expanded version of this classic book will prove to be an essential tool to achieving economic and functional design goals.
